Anita Shreve - The Last Time They Met: A Novel

Reread. The Last Time They Met: A Novel by Anita Shreve (2001)
Length: 313 pages
Genre: Contemporary Fiction
Originally Read: 20 June 2013
Reread Finished: 2 June 2016
Where did it come from? Originally from Paperback Swap, then from my "keeper" shelf.

Continuing along with the season that seems to be turning into the 'Summer of Rereads' for me, I started reading The Last Time They Met: A Novel by Anita Shreve on May 30th! Actually, I first read this book over two days, back in June of 2013 - from June 18th, to June 20th, 2013. My reread of the book took place over four days in 2016 - from May 30th, to June 2nd!

Anyway, I thought it was rather strange because I knew that I had only read the book once before. As I was rereading it, I began noticing that this story seemed awfully familiar to me - more familiar than a reread should be, if that makes any sense to anyone. I told Mareena about my strange feelings, and asked her if I had ever told her that I was reading anything else which took place in Africa.

Mareena gently reminded me that of course I had read a book that took place in Africa - quite recently in fact - "A Change in Altitude by Anita Shreve; remember Mom?" Oh boy, you know that you've probably reached your reread limit with certain authors when you start confusing the books that they've written - not just with another book written by someone else, but with another book written by the exact same author. LOL!!!

Hello and welcome to my blog. I'm a newbie as far as book blogging goes, having been blogging at my daughter's blog for only about two and a half years. Now it's time for me to get my feet wet on my own. Please be gentle with this blogger. Love to hear from you all. Have a great day! :)
