Reading Wrap-up For May at Moonshine and Rosefire

Hello everyone out there and I hope that you all had a terrific reading month for yourselves. I am known as Rosefire around the Internet and this is my new personal reading blog. I originally posted my reviews over at my daughter's blog, Emeraldfire's Bookmark but am now in the process of transferring them all over to my own blog. My daughter makes blogging look like so much fun that I thought that I would try it out for myself! :)

Anyway, I started out May with 1,039 books lying around the house and ended the month with 1,030 books unread. All the books that I acquired this month came from Paperback Swap.

Let me try to break down the influx for you:

Changes to the TBR pile

Rereads
- The Weight of Water by Anita Shreve
- Fortune's Hand by Belva Plain

  1. Wow, looks like you had an awesome month of reading! Way to go!

I read 10 books this month. I read books from several genres. I'd say that 7 of the 10 books I read in May were the remaining 3 reads were just okay.

I see you are a member of Paperback Swap. How do you like Paperback Swap? I've thought about joining, but end up exchanging books with other readers on Bookcrossing.

  2. Hello there,
My daughter and I do enjoy being members of Paperback Swap and the site does have a remarkable selection of books to trade. We've been members ourselves since March of 2009, and we've certainly had great fun interacting with everyone and receiving such marvelous books.

Occasionally, we've met someone who seems extremely fastidious about the condition of the books that they receive - going above and beyond the parameters of Paperback Swap's Trading Conditions. But we usually put it down to the personal preferences of some of the members.

Hello and welcome to my blog. I'm a newbie as far as book blogging goes, having been blogging at my daughter's blog for only about two and a half years. Now it's time for me to get my feet wet on my own. Please be gentle with this blogger. Love to hear from you all. Have a great day! :)
