Iris Bromige - The House of Conflict

10. The House of Conflict by Iris Bromige (1953)
Length: 357 pages
Genre: Contemporary Mystery
Started: 21 February 2011
Finished: 25 February 2011
Where did it come from? From Bookmooch
How long has it been on my TBR pile? Since 10 January 2011
Why do I have it? This was one of three books that I received all the way from Malaysia. Iris Bromige is a new author for me.

When Pauline Avon arrived at the Cedar house to be a secretary to Mr. Cedar, she never expected mystery and love. Old Mr. Cedar is so wrapped in past memories of his dead son John that he all but ignores his other children. Pauline meets and falls in love with Mark Cedar, but when she thinks her love is not returned Mark's brother Derek - for his own reasons - makes Mark believe Pauline is his mistress.

This is the first book that I've read by Iris Bromige. It was very well-written and suspenseful. I give it an A+!

A+! - (96-100%)

Hello and welcome to my blog. I'm a newbie as far as book blogging goes, having been blogging at my daughter's blog for only about two and a half years. Now it's time for me to get my feet wet on my own. Please be gentle with this blogger. Love to hear from you all. Have a great day! :)
